Wedding Weekend

Izzy had a good time this weekend, except we think her teeth were bothering her. She didn't last as long as we had hoped at the wedding, we didn't even get a family photo with her in her fancy dress. But we felt it was a successful trip as she got to meet her Great Grandparents, Great Aunts and Uncles, Cousins, and she got to see Grandma and Grandpa and Erin and Andy! It was a beautiful wedding and a great day, congrats Melissa and Brian! Izzy was spoiled by all when she was actually awake. She got a little fussy, so hopefully people don't think she is a crabby baby, because she is normally so happy and hyper. She wasn't too fond of the long car ride, I rode in the back and tried to distract her, but it was a rough ride home for her/us. As soon as we got home, we laid her down on her activity gym and she started kicking and giggling. Stella ran up to her and started licking her and Izzy gave out a huge belly laugh. She survived, ate some pears for the first time and loved them, and went down without a fight at bedtime. All and all, it was a worthwhile trip and it was great to see everyone and celebrate Melissa and Brian!

Great Grandpa & Grandma

Izzy was spoiled once again and really enjoyed meeting Grandpa George and Tweet. Grandpa George made her smile and kept her happy.by singing songs to her. She will get to meet her other great grandparents today, as well as great aunts and uncles.

Flipper

Please excuse my creepy "good job" voice! :) I was holding the camera and Stella back at the same time and apparently decided to use a creepy voice. ;) Izzy has become the flipping queen. She hates Tummy Time, so she normally flips right over as soon as you put her on her tummy. She has been really lazy lately and hasn't been doing it as much, well this week she decided enough with Tummy Time and won't stop rolling over. Pat came home last night to find that is little baby girl is now a big girl who was VERY hyper!! She has rolled a few times from her back to her stomach too, but not without bribes!

Our Girls!

I got this picture sent to me while I was at a wedding shower on Sunday and Daddy was hanging out with Izzy and Stella. It made me laugh. I would love to know what is going through Izzy and Stella's minds. This is Izzy's favorite pastimes, to  be up high in her chair and to look outside at the leaves, trees, and Stella. :)

Minnetonka Orchard

We went to the Minnetonka Orchard today. Izzy got to see a lot of animals and was a happy camper the whole time! I think this will become a yearly tradition, which is why I made Pat take a picture of her by the growth chart. :)

Green beans

Izzy isn't so sure about green beans just yet! We tricked her by mixing the beans with her squash so she wouldnt spit it all out.

Izzy is one spoiled girl, she got one on one attention from her nanny for three days this week and has four days home with mom! She got two shots today but was very tough. She cried until I picked her up, the nurse was apologizing to her and she started smiling at her. She ia braver than I am!

All Grown Up!

It is amazing what a difference four months can make! She is growing up too fast! She was wearing a newborn onesie for her one month pictures. I know she is still pretty tiny for her age, but I can't believe how huge she looks in a 3-6 month onesie! She finally outgrew her 0-3 month onesies this week!

Teeth?

A tooth has got to be coming in soon, she managed to pull down her whole activity gym to chew on the hanging animals.

5 Months!

Our little peanut is growing up too quickly! She has become quite the eater and as always, has entertained us with her smiles and giggles. She has come a long way in five short months. It is amazing how much our life has changed; however, it is hard to imagine that there was life before Izzy! She has brought us so much love and joy over the past five months, we are so lucky to have her, she has made our life complete!

We did weigh her this weekend, she gained about a pound and a half in a month, FINALLY! :) She now weighs 13.5 lbs. Here are some of the things she can do now:

*She eats three meals a day now, she gets oatmeal for breakfast and a veggie for lunch and dinner.

*She has tried sweet potatoes, sweet peas (hated them, we'll try again later), and acorn squash. If she likes the food, she will gobble it up. If she doesn't, like the peas, she spits them out and lets you know she doesn't like them with her facial expressions.

*She has been going to bed around 7:45-8pm and usually waking around 6am to chat for a few minutes and then goes back to bed until 7:30am! We love it!!

*She has become a great napper since she has been eating more and takes a 2-3 hour nap in the morning, 1-2 hour one in the afternoon, and a few catnaps along the way too.

*She is getting closer and closer to sitting up, but tends to fall over if you let her go and when she gets excited.

*She is in LOVE with Stella. If Stella licks her, she will laugh hysterically.

*Lucky girl has been spoiled with Camp Nana and Papa for daycare and tomorrow will have her personal Nanny (rough life, we know!) for the day. She is one lucky girl to have one on one attention for the first year of her life.
