The Last Two Weeks

We came back from Hayward, WI after an amazing week, to have an amazing weekend with friends. Mike and Liz came from Iowa on Friday night and stayed until Sunday. Izzy and Anna hugged each other A LOT and Jack, Bobby, Izzy, and Anna all played together nicely. Liz and I left the dad's on Daddy daycare duty while we went to Kathryn's bachelorette party.
Hugs!

They had matching shirts, so cute!

The ladies at dinner!

Tommie Girls!

Storytime brought to you by Mike!

The dad's station while the kids played.

Lots of jumping!

Sunday night, we got Izzy's haircut and stopped for pizza.

Izzy was begging to go on the escalator because she had never been, she thought it was pretty cool.

Car ride to the cabin!

I was greeted after my first day on the new job with this cutie! A special thanks to Nana for watching the kids on Monday and Tuesday so I could start my new job. Daycare didn't start until last week, so we needed help! A special thanks to Grandma and Grandpa for watching the kids on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday so I could work! We would not have been able to get through the week without your help!

And this handsome little guy too!

Izzy got an awesome new leotard from Katelyn (and her parents!) THANK YOU!

Goofball wearing a shower cap!

Grandma and Grandpa took the kids to see the Okee Dokee Brothers! I was sad to miss it, but so thankful for the pictures and updates!

Meanwhile, I was unpacking boxes in my room. The school was under construction this summer, so everything in my room was in boxes.

Bobby decided to raid the drawer of ziplocks while I made dinner.

We went to Eleanor's house for dinner over the weekend. Izzy and Eleanor are the best of friends!

Izzy's "hug" or choke hold!

Making the transitition to a new job was not an easy one. I have had a lot of anxiety, stress, and moments of thinking I shouldn't have left where I was and where I loved it. However, small things happen to keep me focused on the positive and make me think about big picture. Pat has been SO supportive and has put up with a lot from me and my mood swings lately, but also little signs from my dad. I started back on my Diet Coke habit, bad I know, but I need my sanity with this transition. The first few days back, I'd grab a diet coke and throw it into my bag. When I'd pull them out, they'd say, "Share a coke with Dad!" I took it as a sign from my dad to relax and know it is okay.

We celebrated the first day back at daycare with dinner out and ice cream dessert!

They look SO old!

We stopped to pick out new glasses for me at Costco and the kids decided to try on a few pairs.

Cheese!

The "almost" finished classroom that has taken me FOREVER to get together. I am hoping I'll retire here because I don't know if I can move to another classroom and set up another classroom from scratch again. :)

Pat has been amazing and has let me stay late at my job so I feel prepared and will pick the kids up from daycare. I"ll get some fun updates as I am plugging away. I asked if Izzy had a good day at daycare and this was the response I got!

Last night, we went swimming at Williston Fitness Center and then played at the Treehouse. The kids loved it!

Both kids were a little scared of the glass bottom panel to walk over.

Well, life has gotten a little more crazy in the last few weeks. We went on a fun family cabin trip to Hayward, WI with my family. On the way up there, I got a call offering me a new job (I had an interview that morning). We got home on Thursday, I went to my old school to clean out my old classroom, went to a cabin on Saturday to celebrate Kathryn's upcoming wedding, and started my new job on Monday. I'll do my best to play catch up with my photos, as my phone is full of pictures. Thanks for a great week in Hayward Nana! We had a blast.
Summer fun means days filled with lots of activities, which makes napping harder for Izzy. This particular day, she got up and wouldn't sleep, so I laid with her, she fell right asleep then.

Eating Mommy's birthday cake from Gma and Gpa for breakfast!

We went to the pool with Lainey our last week, these two are adorable together.

I'm not proud, but he is our second, so a little show at 5:30am (his new waking time) does us all good.

Sharing her ice cream at our new local favorite, Cocoa Loco.

Last day of summer gymnastics, she has been showing us her moves since it ended. She can't wait for it to start again next week.

Izzy came with me to my old school to drop something off and got to play on the playground.

She LOVED the equipment.

It made me sad when she told me that she would get to play on this playground everyday soon when she starts Kindergarten. With my new job, I don't know if she will go to my school, which was my plan at my old school. :( Time will tell.

Izzy slept during the car ride to the cabin. Bobby wanted to party instead.

Showing off Kiki's FIRST PLACE medal! YEAH Kiki!

I can't imagine having twins, but these two are pretty funny together.

Pat playing with kiddos.

Mealtime fun!

She looks so sad while on her time out.

Izzy and Julie!

Bobby was obsessed with this rocking chair!

Such a silly girl! First ponytail too!

Bubble faces in the hot tub!

Cousins playing at the sand bar.

Izzy asked that I include this photo of her in the hot tub.

He looks so old here!

Boat ride fun!
Captain George

Checking out the eagles.

Papa was with us the whole week.

Izzy "hugging" Olivia.

Life is so hard when your parents make you eat your mac and cheese. :)

Katelyn and George watched the kids while we got dinner ready. Here is their dance party for the kids as they ate. :)

Cabin life...playing in the bed of the truck.

Izzy slept on the floor for a few days, but would always manage to be in new positions when we'd come to bed.

Tickle time.

Izzy trying out Uncle Tom's push up bars.

Izzy feeding Olivia.

We went to town on the rainy day. Bobby found a new hat.

Izzy LOVED the candy store.

So much to choose from.

She was in heaven.

I was in heaven too. A wall of jelly bellys!

Super proud!

Bobby and Olivia holding hands during dinner.

Izzy's new owl boots!

Bobber!

Family picture thanks to Tom!

These two are going to be trouble together soon!

George taught Izzy how to play 104 card pick up since they had two decks.

Goofballs!

Bobby LOVED Katelyn!

Taking selfies together.

Bobber was getting some teeth and had a few off nights, so we were going on walks to try to get him to sleep, it didn't work.

Our little family!

This girl!

Bobby fell asleep in the car after driving around to get him to sleep for a little bit. He is one stubborn boy.

Cheese sticks on a boat, doesn't get much better than that!

I thought this sign was funny at Famous Daves.

Getting ready for lunch at Famous Daves on the lake.

Goofballs.

King and Queen on the mountain.

Bobby decided to pull out all of the kleenex from the box as I was packing up his stuff. Stinker.

Izzy colored so nicely while Bobby napped on the ride home.

Asleep with his favorite book.
