Weekend Fun

Our friend, Chris, came into town for Friday night. It is always fun to catch up with him and get everyone together. We have been wanting to go to Butcher and the Boar and were so happy we finally got to go with good company. The food was amazing.

Pat was pretty happy about his ribs!

Mark with his pork chop.

Pat and Mark went halfsies on their meals so they could enjoy both.

Nikki and I showing our pride for Joe.

We went to Crave Rooftop for a little while too, it was really fun.

Saturday morning, Daddy went to help Grandma and Grandpa unpack. YEAH! The kids and I took a walk to the park before the storms set in.

Weeeeeee

The storms rolled in, so Izzy got to try out her new umbrella.

All was well until the wind picked up and she still got wet with her umbrella.

We decided to bring Grandma and Grandpa dinner and check out the progress they had made on unpacking, Bobby decided to pass out in the car in the most uncomfortable position. Poor buddy.

We rigged up a seat for Bobby. We had to tape down his plate, as he likes to flip it over. He decided to drop half of his food on the floor during dinner, little stinker.

We got to meet grandma and grandpa's new neighbors, the deer.  "Can I touch them, mommy?"

Video of the deer

We decided to go to Yo Yo donuts this morning in honor of Papa's Sunday morning traditions.

Izzy picked out a Fruity Pebbles donut to share with Bobby. Surprisingly, she hardly ate it.

We got home from having donuts, played outside on the deck for a little while before Bobby's nap. Once Bobby napped, Izzy decided she needed to go on a bike ride with Daddy. They did a tour of parks during their bike ride. They went to 5 different parks in fact, here are pictures I got along the way from Pat.

Big boy is taking more and more steps on his own now.

We decided to go to the pool tonight after dinner for a little while. It was refreshing on this hot day.
A boy and his dog...

Goofball

Always putting things in his mouth.

On his tiptoes trying to get into something, as always.

Whenever we want him to take steps on his own so we can catch it on camera, he refuses to stand up. Stinker. :) Last night, he took about 6-7 steps at Grandma and Grandpa's house.
Doing a puzzle with Daddy.

A dad and his son.

Attempting to finish her donut and yogurt in Bobby's highchair. :)

Oh, how I love this boy!

Bobby is becoming more and more obsessed with Stella. He will randomly go up to her and pet her.

Izzy found a frog on the deck.

Taking a few steps.

The frog.

Zoo

We met up with my coworkers and their kiddos on Friday at the Zoo. Izzy had a blast. Bobby enjoyed the ride. Izzy is at such a fun age and was in awe of all of the animals and the big kids. She asked a lot of questions about each animal along the way too. Her favorite inquiry was about where they go potty and why. Got to love a three year olds thought process.

Watching the bears wrestle and play.

Watching the leopards.

Bobby liked the camels.

"Hump Day, Whoop, Whoop!"
Izzy really wanted to go on the carousel like the older kids, but once she got on she started crying.

Check out that lip.

Not to worry, this was a two second picture. I held Bobby the whole way.

Riding the caterpillar.

The "teachers' kids" crew.

Izzy loved feeding the goats.

Here is a video of her feeding the goats:

She loved combing them too.

My cuties riding the tractor back so we could get home for naps.

Such a fun day!
In awe over the bears.

Izzy wanted this umbrella. However, she was okay when I told her no, we didn't need it. Then, I had a "what would Papa do?" moment and decided to splurge and let her get it. Papa loved the Zoo, especially the Penguins, so we decided to get the umbrella and she has been obsessed with it.

Showing it to Bobby.
