Giggles

Izzy is such a happy girl! We are really lucky that she is usually so happy, don't get me wrong, she has her moments, but for the most part, she is pretty content. She had us cracking up today! She was flashing not only her smiles, but also her butt during bath time! Walker

Izzy loves to practice walking, even though we are pushing crawling now! :) She is getting up and rocking more and more, but at this point, we are not holding our breath. She'll crawl when she wants to, we just want to make sure she actually crawls! We aren't freaking out, as we know she is still in the normal range, but know how important it is that a baby actually learn to crawl. For now, she is happy as can be practicing crawling, standing, and walking. She is 8 months, going on 16!

Chatty Girl...

Izzy has not stopped talking all day!! We are both looking forward to Daddy's return tomorrow! We have really missed him this week. We have been practicing being on all fours and rocking but still no forward movement...someday, someday! Izzy's love for Stella some how grows more and more each day! They are do cute together!

Mommy's Shopper

Izzy and I ran to Babies r Us last night to grab a few things. Izzy was my helper holding things along the way. She was pretty proud to sit in the shopping cart like a big girl for the first time! She loved looking around and checking out the lights above.

Jackie, Sally, and Libby came over for dinner tonight. We had fun chatting and watching the girls! Izzy also got to meet her future daycare playmate, Lainy today! According to Stacie, our nanny, Izzy giggled and kept reaching for Izzy. Can't wait for Lainy to start and Izzy to have a playmate each day! The picture is a little blurry, I think they were moving. Izzy is living the life, still in her pajamas at 11!

When the boys are away the girls will play

Both Pat and Reid were gone tonight so Jackie and I decided to meet up for dinner at Noodles! It was great to see each other, but it is funny how much harder it is going out to eat with kids without your husbands. Nobody to grab the diaper bag or the carseat for you or take turns entertaining the children for you so you can eat in shifts. It was a lot of fun though and good to get out! We decided we need to do it again tomorrow night only at one of our houses so we can actually talk and catch up while the kids can play! Here are some photos of the kids.

Nobody puts baby in the corner...

Izzy is crawling backwards but learning it isn't much fun when you get stuck in a corner! We are wearing leg warmers this week in hopes of crawling....also because she loves her Grandmas! We tried scrambled egg yolks, so far she is a fan and no signs of an allergy yet. She has to wait to have egg whites until she is a year.

I think we need to patent it! Izzy loved relaxing while having her bottle and not having to lean her head back!

8 Months!

Our little lady is getting bigger by the day! She is becoming more and more independent, which makes us realize that she isn't a baby anymore. We haven't weighed her in a month, so we'll have to try and do that this week to see how much she has grown. Here are some things that she has started doing in the last month:

*She now sits up and isn't wobbly anymore, crazy what a few weeks will do!

*She is going to bed earlier and sleeps from 7-7:15am. She also randomly takes a third nap just before dinner time.

*She has been spending her days with her nanny, Stacie, and having a lot of fun!

*She has started to figure out how to get down from the sitting position and get her legs ready to crawl.

*She rocks back and forth like she is going to crawl and does a face plant into the ground.:) She is still good at moving backwards, but hasn't figured out how to move forward.

*She started shaking her head to say no.

*She has started to eat more and more finger foods and has started to get better at actually getting the food into her mouth. She has eaten frozen peas, frozen veggies, tofu, peaches, pears, and tonight she tried spiral whole wheat pasta and loved it!

*She waves to say hi and goodbye and does high fives; however, we haven't been practicing lately so it takes a few tries to get her to do it now.

Cabin weekend

We had a blast at Kathryn's cabin this weekend! Izzy really loved playing with Jack! It was so fun seeing the two of them interact. Izzy was hoarding toys and taking them from Jack, he was so nice to share his caterpillar with her. They were reenacting Lady and the Tramp! We hope to see you guys again soon! Thanks to Uncle Joe for the Wisconsin shirts! Now we are off the Menasha to see Grandma and Grandpa!
