Izzy and I have to brag a little about the amazing man in our lives, Dadda/Pat! He is going to be so embarrassed, but we are too proud not to brag a little! Pat has been working his tail off this past year and won the highest award for his position last night at their yearly sales meeting in Nashville. Here he is on stage winning his award...a paid trip to HAWAII for us in April before baby boy comes into this world (hopefully!). We couldn't be more proud of him and we are so happy all of his hard work is being recognized! We love you Dadda, way to go and way to make us proud! We can't wait to see you tonight!

This and That...
Well, we are surviving this week without daddy. We miss him so! Thankfully (do I dare jinx it!?), Izzy seems to be getting better and back to herself more and more each day. She is finally eating again and each night, her coughing wakes her up less. She has been cracking me up a lot too. We have been sending Daddy videos so he won't miss her so much, they are too cute not to share. She is at such a fun and trying stage right now. One minute, I'll have to put her in three separate time outs for throwing things or not cleaning up and the next minute she is snuggling and hugging me and saying "Wuv you!" Every night before bed, we read books, take her nebulizer, say our prayers, and then I put her in her crib. Before I leave the room, I always say, "Goodnight God Bless Izzy, see you in the morning, I love you to the moon and back." The last few nights she'll say in response as I am closing the door, "wuv you!" It melts my heart. It takes everything in me not to go back in there and get her out of her crib and snuggle with her some more. She has been repeating EVERYTHING lately, it has been so fun to watch her vocabulary grow each day. At times it is hard though because she thinks she is making sense and I have no idea what she says so she gets frustrated.
We haven't forgotten about baby boy either, Pat isn't home to take a weekly picture. I am proud to announce that baby boy is now the length of a spaghetti squash and weighs one pound. I don't get these fruit/vegetable references, seriously, one week it is saying the length of ____, the next week it is the size of _____, I don't like how it is inconsistent, but that is just me. Thankfully he is such a mover, but is still a peanut and doesn't bother my bladder too much yet, so I am able to sleep without having to get up in the middle of the night.....I know, I know, I just jinxed myself, it will start tonight I am sure. Parents at school are starting to ask me if I am pregnant, so I must finally be past the "did she just gain weight?" stage and actually look pregnant. According to the app on my phone, we have 17 weeks and 5 days left! HOLY COW! Those of you winter-haters like me, that means only 17 weeks until SUMMER! YEAH! Hopefully I'll continue the belly bump posts next week, poor baby boy has been neglected once again. He won't be short on love once he arrives.

On the mend...
It looks like the end is in sight! After 6 days of a fever of 103, Izzy's fever broke on Saturday afternoon. She was still a little out of sorts on Sunday and had a rough night last night, but seemed better this morning. She went to daycare today and had a good day. They said she was pretty quiet, but ate and sleep great. She came home and was back to herself, we played, made dinner, and even danced. I am hoping she will sleep better tonight, especially since Daddy is out of town for work. You can see the progression of her sickness in the pictures below.

It's a Boy!
Well we were pleasantly surprised to find out that we are having a little BOY! We have been so busy ordering fabric and getting things ordered for Izzy's big girl be and baby boy's nursery that I haven't had a chance to update the blog. Miss Izzy is excited and will point to the ultrasound pictures and say baby and brother. If you ask her who the big sister is, she'll say Izzy.
We are taking it all in an starting to look at boy clothing since we have none. However, Miss Izzy has been pretty sick so we have been preoccupied with her. She was sent home from daycare on Tuesday with a fever and the doctor confirmed her 103 fever is from her ear infection. Say some prayers for we tummy, as they put her on antibiotic this time to hopefully clear up her ears. Her fever hasn't broken yet so she is spending another day at home with daddy tomorrow. Poor girl was healthy and happy until Sunday midday when she started to get a low grade fever and a slightly runny nose, now she has a terrible cough to accompany her runny nose.

Halfway there-20 weeks!
Well we are at that halfway point?! Wow, time flies in your second pregnancy! We are anxiously waiting for each day to pass until our ultrasound on Friday so we can find out the gender of our little peanut. Everyone keeps asking me what I think I am having, I guess if I had to say, I would say girl; however, my only reasoning would be because I have felt the same this time as last pregnancy and the heart rates have been the same. I know that means nothing but that is all I got. Pat is thinking boy. We shall see, have you made your guess yet? If not, be sure to do so before Friday!

Izzy and Stella!
Best friends forever! Izzy likes to sit and lay on Stella in her chair. She loved holding the empty peanut butter jar for Stella to lick out this morning. Izzy tried chocolate milk for the first time last night, but wasn't a big fan. She drank a little and then requested her "mo", milk. Mom and Dad are happy, less sugar equals less hyper and less cavities. :)

19 Weeks + Princess Izzy
Holy cow, next week will be the halfway mark and we will find out if we are having a boy or girl! It is amazing how fast pregnancy goes the second time around when you at focused on chasing a toddler around. I am constantly eating and am pretty tired after work each day. Usually after Izzy goes to bed, I lay in bed to get comfortable, watch a little TV, and doze in and out of sleep.
Izzy continues to love her potty and being a big girl. We went to dinner tonight and she used a booster seat for the first time at a restaurant and thought she was big stuff. She was SO good! She is so nosy that I think she loved being able to watch everyone in the restaurant while she ate. She is at such a fun stage and now that she is healthy, she is laughing all the time.
