Snowy Day!

Well, it finally happened! Leave it to Leap Day to cause a crazy snow storm in MN. I hate to complain because I know we have had a mild winter, but this morning SUCKED. Every school around us was closed or at least delayed, but not mine. I got a call from the St. Louis Park School District reminding me that school was still in session, lovely! I got the call and was very exciting assuming it meant no school, no such luck. Thankfully, I made it to work safely, but had secretly hoped for a day home with my little peanut instead. Stacie sent me the most adorable pictures of little Izzy in the snow. Pat and I haven't even had the chance to take her out in the snow yet since we have barely had any! So tonight will be the night. Stacie said Izzy started to give her a pouty look when it was time to go inside...sounds about right!

Daddy + 5

Izzy wanted to show off how amazingly talented her daddy is by showing the nearly finished basement project he built! We also painted and rearranged the office this weekend! It looks so much bigger with a lighter color, no more dark red.

In Izzy news, I tried to get a picture for proof, but she keeps grabbing my phone and eating it first or puts her fingers in her mouth. We discovered a fifth tooth! Another bottom tooth which explains her wanting more sleep and eating less. I will try to get a picture where you can actually see her teeth, but this one made me laugh!

Daddy's girl

Izzy has been one happy camper today! She woke up from her nap giggling and has been laughing ever since. She is Daddy's little cupcake! Check out the video below (email people you have to go to the blog) to see her in her crib when I went to get her up from her nap.

Randoms

Here are some random pictures of Izzy! Silly girl getting ready for bath time with her shirt on her head. Izzy playing with Daisy, Ella, and Mary the other day! And of course, me being crazy... Izzy's first birthday shirt that I made for her sock monkey themed party! Not to forget, a preview of our basement project that Pat has been working on for us. Izzy's toys will be in the baskets below and we will put books and picture frames on the nice bookshelves!

Watch Out World!

We have a crawler on our hands! She is getting faster each day. We can't leave things on the floor anymore, as she races to them. We can put out all of her toys, but she'll go right for the tools daddy is using or the onesie mommy is working on! :)

9 months

Wow, in three short months are little one will be ONE YEAR OLD! I cannot believe she is already 9 months. It feels like just yesterday we brought her home, now her amazingly happy personality shines through more and more each day. It feels like she reaches a new milestone every minute these days! Here are some things are peanut can do now:
*Somehow she sleeps more! She puts herself to bed by putting her hands behind her head and letting you know she wants bed. She now sleeps from 6:30-7:00/7:30am

*She eats A LOT of everything. Some new foods she eats now include: hotdogs, grilled cheese, pasta, egg yolk, bread, cheeto like kiddie puffs (broccoli, kale, etc. flavored).

*She drinks from a big girl sippy cup without handles.

*She entertains herself more and more each day and LOVES Lainy and Stella.

*She really wants to walk, but we have started focusing more on crawling and she is doing GREAT. See the two videos below. She is still figuring out her hands, but she moves and gets her legs up and is finally able to stay focused long enough to get to the object she desires. (Usually the remote or a cellphone)

*If she is crabby, all you have to do is give her your fingers and she'll pull herself up to walk around like a big girl, then she smirks and giggles.

*She now has FOUR teeth. Her two top teeth came in this week. She has been a trooper with the pain.

*Her new friend Lainy started coming to our house for daycare and Izzy loves her so. She smiles when she walks in the door and wants to "walk" over to her carseat and look in at her.

*She is becoming more and more independent. As I type, she is feeding herself her bottle. She refused to drink it when I held her, so she is laying on a pillow, kicking her feet to make her toy play music and drinking her bottle...stinker. :)
I am still as happy as ever!
I am starting to pull myself up to stand, but I am still pretty shaky.
I have FOUR teeth now! If you look close, you can see the two on the top poking through.
Stella is still my best friend! I really love her tags!
I LOVE to walk around and think I am big stuff!
Thanks for letting me use your toy Sally and Libby!
Being silly with Stella.
Love my monkey friend too!
Being silly, poor monkey! :)

Little BIG eater!

Izzy has been eating less lately, but we found out why at the doctor's today. Izzy's TWO top teeth are now in, which have been causing her quite some pain. However, after her apt and the okay to eat more foods, Izzy ate EVERYTHING in sight! She tried a grilled cheese for the first time and ate the whole thing (1 slice of bread without crust)! She also ate a WHOLE kiwi, some chicken sausage, egg yolk with pears, and some crackers. She was an animal. She loved the grilled cheese so much, she was licking the butter off her fingers. The doctor said to give her some fats now to try and "fatten" her up and to put a little butter on the grilled cheese. She is just our little peanut, but the doctor isn't worried at all. She said she is just petite and is still growing, just on her own curve.

Here are her stats:
*Weight: 15.9lbs (5th percentile)
*Length: 26 3/4 inches (24th percentile)
*Head: 45 cm (79th percentile!!)

The doctor said she is very healthy and thinks Miss Izzy may just walk before she crawls and ensured me that it is okay if that happens. However, being a teacher, that wasn't okay with me so we came home and practiced her crawling with daddy. She is finally starting to show some signs that she can actually crawl. I think the hardwood floors have made it hard on her to practice, as she often rolls over onto the floor and scoots backwards and doesn't have to try to hard to move around.

Here is a video of Miss Izzy eating her grilled cheese and sucking and licking all of the butter off of it. She is a big girl with her new big girl cup without handles. Also, some pictures from our Valentine's evening, she was this happy after two shots! Love her so!
