Home sweet home

It is so good to be home with Miss Izzy again. She wasn't so sure about us at first, which many told us would happen, but I naively thought she wouldn't be that way with us. She cried, granted we did bombard her before she had fully woken up from her nap, but clearly I wasn't going to calm her down. She ran to Bamma. Clearly that means she had a great time when we were away. Thank you SO much for taking such good care of our Princess Bamma and Bampa! She had a blast and so did we knowing she was in such good hands!

Bamma and Bampa had to go and thankfully Izzy got over her not liking us pretty fast. Within twenty minutes, we were outside playing and she would randomly say our names and run to give us a hug. As the night progressed, she would randomly say our names over and over again, as if to make sure we were in fact there. I got the hugest smile this morning when I went in to get her! We were back on our routine, her sitting on the counter helping me get ready for work, oh how I missed that! I was worried how today would go since she had to go to daycare, she did give me a few hugs before letting me go and waved at the front door as I pulled out. She LOVED daycare today and seeing her friends and we didn't come inside tonight until 6:15 for a late dinner, as we were busy playing, catching up with friends and neighbors, etc. Our day caught up with us and Pat and I crashed once we put Izzy to bed. Thankfully I woke up to change the laundry, lock the doors, and get a few things organized for our hospital bag just in case! I have had a few contractions today, but am thinking my body has just been on overload and is reacting to that, but to be safe, I will try to put a few things aside. Then, it is off to bed again!

East Maui Rainforest Hike

I will let the pictures speak for themselves, but we had an AMAZING time on our hike yesterday. Between Pat and the tour guide, I was taken care of on the questionable portions of the trail. We hiked up rocks, through streams, on gravel roads, through bamboo forests, you name it, we did it. Definitely one of the coolest experiences we have had since coming here. The views were amazing and our guide was so informative. We learned so much. Our last day will be spent laying by the beach, maybe snorkeling in the ocean a little too. Last night, we had Pat's award dinner and ceremony, which was fun. We have gotten to know some of his coworkers who are pretty fun too.

We have to take a shuttle at 5:40 tonight for the airport, so we plan to maximize our last day without a schedule or work! The first portion of our week seemed to go slow, but since we moved to this hotel, it has flown by! It is nice when you have kids to travel now because you definitely enjoy every minute to its fullest and don't take a second for granted, and while you are sad to go back to reality, you are so excited to see your little peanut, you are okay with the trip coming to an end too. Work on Monday will be a different story....here is to hoping Bobby will make his arrival a little sooner than expected. :)

Izzy day 6 & Hawaii

Izzy went to the Zoo with Bamma, Bampa, and Nana yesterday! It looks like a good time was had by all. A special thanks to our village for taking such good care of her while we are away!

Yesterday, we relaxed by the pool, hit up Dukes on the beach for happy hour, and went to a cocktail hour for Pat's work. We are up early today to go on a Rainforest and Waterfall hike, say some prayers that all goes well for Bobby and I. A few people have tried to talk us out of it, but I am too stubborn to not see a waterfall while in Hawaii! ;)
