The Adventures of Izzy at Daycare

Clearly Izzy has been given a lot of freedom and is having a great time watching all the boys get into things at daycare. She is home "sick" today and has been getting into everything! She decided the top of the cooler would be a great spot to sit, as well as the shelve under our small table that houses her baskets of toys. She pushed the baskets onto the floor and climbed up on the shelf! She also took about every last cherry tomato off our plant and ate them, except for the green ones, she would spit them out and hand them to me, how nice! :) She has kept food down all day, but took a little nap this morning and seems a little more fussy and snuggly than normal, so I think it was good we kept her home.

Poor izzy

Izzy can't seem to catch a break! She ended up with a high fever and rash 8 days after her MMR shot last weekend in Ely. And now tonight she had the first of many daycare illnesses I am sure! I had my K picnic tonight and rushed home to say goodnight to Izzy. I ran to her room and she just looked at me and didn't really move as if she was half asleep. I said goodnight and walked out, as soon as I sat down, she started high pitched squealing. I ran up to check on her and she was standing up bawling. I went to pick her up and she puked all over her crib and the floor. She stopped and looked at me all worried and puked again. Thankfully daddy was able to help me clean it up. Poor thing has had her fill of illnesses this summer! We are hoping it means she will not get sick too much once school is back in session. Thankfully I don't have to be at school until one tomorrow and Pat can work from home when she naps so we can make it work without having to take off of work because come next week, that won't be the case! In good news, she ha a great day at daycare today and is slowly getting used to the routine'

First day jitters

Izzy had a great first day at daycare! Mom had a breakdown saying goodbye, but luckily dad dropped her off at daycare so mom wouldn't cry anymore. When I went to pick her up, she had the hugest smile on her face when I came down the stairs! She was holding a toy and seemed to be having fun. Deb told me she had a hard start, she was a little fussy in the morning, but once they went outside, she was back to normal and much more social. She did only sleep for 45 minutes so she went to bed a little early. To celebrate a somewhat successful day for both Izzy and I, we took a walk to the park to run around and play. She didn't stop talking all night long. We are hopeful that tomorrow she will sleep longer and come out of her shell more.

Friends forever!

Sally and Libby came to play today while their mom went to the dentist! We had so much fun! Izzy learned how to share and that sometimes it is hard to share haha. She is ready for daycare and learning that life isn't always fair and you don't always get your way. :) we bounced in the giant bouncy that the Daravingas gave to us, thank you! We also splashed in the splash table and played in the basement! It was so much fun! We can't wait for Ely this weekend to have even more fun together!
Watching Sally jump high!
Sally's audience.
Where did the ball go?
Oh Hey Libby! Izzy is already draining her piggy bank!
Hugs for Libby!
She kept putting one hand on her tummy and the other hand on her back and would lean in for a hug. Thankfully, Libby is so easy going, she didn't care!

Having fun getting wet!

Another hug!
Oh Hey Libs! Notice Izzy and Sally playing so nicely!
Kisses for Libbers!

First haircut!

Izzy was very brave for her first haircut and LOVED her first sucker! She actually liked sniffing it more than sucking on it. She was great for the cut and loved that they blew bubbles to entertain her. Mama was sad to see her locks go and has to try for pigtails as soon as we get home to make sure she can still have them, as she got a little scissor happy. However, her hair doesn't look as unruly as it did before. She layered it a little so it looks thicker and will grow in nicer than it was before.
