Nana stopped by today to see Izzy since she will be leaving in a week for her trip. I think Izzy and Nana are having withdraws from each other. As soon as my mom walked in, Izzy started giggling. As you can tell from the video, they love to get crazy together! Hopefully our nanny doesn't mind getting silly with Izzy next week when she starts. We also tried on one of Izzy's new outfits that she got from Nana for Christmas.

Hard work

We are working on our crawling everyday. Today we moved to the basement and she was starting to get it. She is finally getting her knees up, rocks, and gives up. It is only a matter of time! We took our Christmas tree down just in case.

Smartie Pants!

Izzy can read! She was looking at her "Eat" book and then started eating it. :) The next Einstein perhaps? We are hoping the next Steve Jobs with the way she navigates the iPad already. Izzy is loving break just as much as mom and dad, she is staying up a little later, which means sleeping in later and yesterday snuck an extra nap in!

Holidays Favorites

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! Izzy loved Christmas and being admired by many. She had a whole cheering section as she was attempting to crawl, which I am okay with not happening just yet. I am not ready for the baby gates and baby proofing that comes with crawling, don't get me wrong, I will be cheering her on when she does it and posting the video here, but I won't be forcing it to happen.....I will let her take her time and figure it out on her own. :) We had a great time with Grandma and Grandpa and look forward to seeing them again in a week! We were so focused on getting Izzy's pictures opening gifts, that we didn't take any of them with Izzy. We will put that on our list of things to do when they return. Here are some of our favorites from the holidays! There is also a video of Izzy saying Mama, it isn't her best, but it is proof! I will try to get more, but as soon as she hears the recording sound, she stops.

Izzy will sure miss them and we will sure miss knowing she is in the best hands....we will also miss the pictures and videos throughout the dau too! Thank you Nana and Papa for helping me ease back into work and the whole daycare idea, we cannot thank you enough! Enjoy your cruise and time in the warmer states, we look forward to our skype dates!

Busy girl...

Izzy is sure busy and had started to get into everything! She thought she would help me find some deals in the paper yesterday! She picked out some yummy baby Mum Mum banana crackers for herself and inhaled it just before Stella got ahold of it! See pictures below. You can also see her relaxing in her new tub!

7 Months Old!

Izzy is already 7 months old, we cannot believe it. It feels like she has gone from a baby to a one year old in one short month. It is unbelievable how much progress she has made in one short month. She has become a little person who is becoming more and more independent everyday, tear, tear! I apologize for the length of this post, but like I said, she has changed A LOT this month!

Here are some milestones for her:
*She has two teeth, and we are working on another one as we speak!

*She does NOT stop rolling ALL OVER the place. Our living room has now become her playground, we moved the coffee table and our rug has been covered with a blanket filled with her toys. Of course, she prefers to do her rolling off the blanket and on the hardwood floor, lots of thumping noises from her head now days.

*She is starting to pivot when she rolls so she can move around in circles and get whatever it is she has her eyes on.

*She is starting to crawl backwards, but it doesn't seem like she realizes it yet, THANK GOODNESS. Momma is hoping that the crawling will come after Christmas when the tree is down, then crawl away little girl!

*She has pretty much mastered the sippy cup and now realizes how fun it is to eat the handles on it and dump out the water, oh joy. :)

*She loves Stella more and more each day, she now loves to gently pet her ears and has taken a liking to her new collar, see the pictures below.

*She continues to be a good sleeper, 7:30pm-7:15am ish, I hope I am not jinxing it by writing it here.

*She continues to be a good eater and has taken a liking to chicken. I think her favorite is YoBaby yogurt though! She eats baby puffs and we are slowly giving her finger foods, like small pieces of carrots.

*She sleeps with three pacifiers, however, as soon as we put her down, we usually hear two being thrown out of her crib. By the time we go in, in the morning, they are all behind her crib.

*Izzy likes to sit up and is getting quite good at it. But you have to watch her, she likes to do face plants into the ground so she can roll around.

*She is becoming a big girl and hasn't minded trying new things. We had to start a little formula this weekend due to supply issues, but she took it like a champ and didn't seem to mind mixing things up, thank goodness! Hopefully Christmas break will help things get worked out.

*She waves at people now and loves to stare at her hand as she waves, it is pretty entertaining!

*She said her first word, "Mama!" Yes, I am counting it! I will post the video this week. Nana has been doing a great job of practicing this one with Izzy everyday and now she says it all the time, I know, I know, she doesn't get that I am Mama yet, but still, she said the word, we'll work on the association thing later. :)

*She outgrew her baby bath, photos of her "transition tub" later, but she loves bath time every more now and likes to try and eat her stingray toy.

*She saw Santa, pulled his beard and glasses off, and pooped on him, oops! I can't wait to tell her that story when she is older!

Stop, Drop, and Roll

I called my mom during a break this morning to see how Izzy was doing. I could hear Izzy in the background having fun, per usual! Then, my mom started laughing. Miss Izzy was rolling back and forth in the basement having fun and saw a blue blanket hanging off the couch and made it her mission to get it down. She kept rolling back and forth until she could get it. Once she got it, she continued to roll herself back and forth and get herself wrapped like a little burrito. She was practicing her stop, drop, and roll moves this morning. She thought it was pretty funny, but found it hard to continue to roll when she was all wrapped up. She cracks me up! My mom sent me some pictures and videos of Miss Izzy! I don't know who is going to be more sad when Christmas break comes and Nana and Papa are away traveling, Izzy or Nana. :) (Or me, because then I won't get video or picture updates!)

Crazy Christmas Tree Girl!

Izzy is really starting to move and notice EVERYTHING! She loved talking to the Christmas tree this weekend and moving all around it. She even got her hands one of my presents and started to open it for me, looks like we are going to have a fun Christmas! I didn't think she'd be able to figure out how to open the wrapping paper, but it looks like we have to keep her away from the presents now!

Fresh air

We went for a quick stroll to the park for some fresh air. Izzy seemed to like looking around even though she could barely see with all of her layers on. :) She is working hard on sitting up, she can do it, but gets lazy and sometimes mad when she can't figure out how to get down to roll around.
