Little Vegetarian Peanut

Izzy is a little peanut, but thankfully a healthy peanut! We had our doctor appointment yesterday and Miss Izzy, despite eating everything in sight, is just slow at gaining weight. She never stops moving and must burn too many calories, because she is only in the 4th percentile for her weight. Her head is still as huge as ever, it is no wonder she is so good at rolling over, she just tilts her head and her head weights her down. We are working on sitting up, which proves to be harder with a big noggin. :) The doctor said the slimmer babies tend to have an easier time rolling over first before sitting up and the babies with a little more chub on them have an easier time sitting up and harder time rolling over? Who knows! She got some shots, which she hated and so did her momma. She had a fever of a 101 this morning from her shots, poor thing! However, after checking in with Nana today, she is happy as ever and her temp has gone down, good news. She is starting meat tonight, she is no longer a herbivore, tonight we will introduce her to the world of carnivores, sorry Auntie Carrie! She wasn't too sure about chicken, check out the video below. I had to mix it with her yogurt to get her to eat it.  Izzy also got to try to use her sippy cup last night and she figured it out and seemed to enjoy getting water a little too much. The video didn't work, so sorry I can't share that funny moment with all of you.

Here are her stats:
Weight: 13.2 lbs (4th percentile)
Height: 26 inches (50th percentile)
Head: 16.5 inches (91st percentile)

Toothers

Miss Izzy is a champion! I checked her mouth today and jaws has not one, but two bottom teeth coming in! No wonder she was out of sorts over thanksgiving without even  having turkey! She is enjoying some teething relief, but has so many options she cant decide which to chew on.

Pumpkin Stealer

Miss Izzy must have been more hungry than I thought! I was feeding her pumpkin for the first time, I gave her a few bites and she loved it, but didn't seem to be too hungry. I was making some homemade pumpkin granola bars while she was playing her in seat. I left the pumpkin on the edge of her tray while I was finishing my baking since she didn't seem like she was all that hungry at the moment. I look over at her and this is what I found. :) I guess she liked pumpkin a lot and wanted more NOW. Soon she won't be needing us anymore.

Thankful twins!

We are so very thankful for our families, friends, our health, and our little girl! We had a wonderful thanksgiving day and a delicious dinner. Izzy celebrated thanksgiving by getting her first tooth! Big girl!

While in WI, Pat found an old outfit from his baptism and a picture of hin wearing it. We had to recreate the photo as best as we could, I will say it again, I swear she is my daughter! :)

3 years later

Three years later and we are still happy as ever and have our little girl! We are celebrating with dinner tonight, thanks to the James gang for watching Izzy for us! I was getting Izzy's food ready for her babysitters and put her on her activity gym for maybe two minutes and this is what I found....someone loves to roll and yes, is getting really close to crawling. We are hoping she will hold off until after Christmas so we can put up a tree without the worry! I was really hoping we had more time before she became so mobile, but now we can't blink or she will be across the room rolling.

Reindeer and friend

I made Izzy a reindeer onesie and tutu for Christmas time. We tried it on today. She of course, loved eating the tutu the most. She is obsessed with Stella and loves to try to pet her, here they are together. Stella looks a little depressed about it and we are trying to teach Izzy not to pull her ears. :)

Class fun!

We have missed ECFE the last two weeks due to daylights savings time throwing off our bedtime and mommy have conferences. We went last night and Izzy was happy to see her friends. We also made some thanksgiving cards for the grandparents and mommy and daddy. It was fun to watch izzy check out the other kids and try and interact with them.

Our little gnome liked avocado

Izzy tried avocado last night, she wasn't so sure of if at first. She gave a nasty face and then spit it out. She seemed to like it after a little while, but since it didn't have much flavor, I added apples and she ate it right up!

SIX MONTHS

Our baby is growing up way too fast. I know I say it every month, but it is really incredible how much they change in a month's time. We don't have her appointment for a week, so I don't have her stats yet, but she does seem like she has gained some weight and has the little chubby legs to prove it. Here are somethings she can do now and/or has done in the last month:

*She now eats fruits. So far she has taste tested and approved apples and pears. She now eats: sweet potatoes, green beans, sweet peas, every kind of squash out there, carrots, pears, and apples. We hope to try avocados this week too and depending on what the doctor says, we may start meat soon too! Just in time for Thanksgiving!

*She has had her first sleepover at Nana and Papa's house and her first day/night away from Mommy and Daddy while they were at Nicole's wedding on 11-11-11. :)

*She has gone to her first wedding, Melissa and Brian's, in WI on October 29th.

*She met all of her Great Grandparents on Daddy's side on October 29th in WI and loved meeting some of her Great Aunts and Uncles too.

*She can roll over from her back to her stomach and her stomach to her back.

*She is getting close to sitting up on her own, but she loves to eat her toes so much, she doesn't mind when she does a face plant when you let go of her. :)

*She lived and slept through most her first Halloween, even with all of the Trick or Treaters at our door.

Izzy tried on one of my bridesmaid gifts tonight. I think she liked them!

Thank you!

The Craigmiles also let us borrow some goodies for Izzy! She really likes the Johnny Jumper, but we just have to teach her to be a little more coordinated, as I think she is going to jump right into the door frame. :)

Peek a Boo with Sally

Izzy was spoiled once again last night when we went to the Craigmile's house. Reid was nice enough to invite Pat to the Gopher/Badger game, so Izzy and I went over to hang out with Sally, Jackie, and Laura. Sally is so ready to be a big sister, she had Izzy laughing by playing Peek a Boo! Super cute, thanks Craigmiles!

Spoiled

When I say spoiled, I mean Pat, Izzy, and I are spoiled and fully realize that. Last night we had our first night without Izzy. Izzy had s sleepover at Nana and Papa's house and her fan club came over to take her out to dinner, play with her, give her a bath, and read her bedtime stories. Meanwhile, Pat and I were able to celebrate Nicole and Charly's wedding and relax without worrying about Izzy getting crabby or needing to go to bed early. We were spoiled with picture updates which helped being away from her for the whole day and night seem a little easier. We are so lucky that so many people love her and want to take care of her for us. We had a wonderful night, at a beautiful wedding for a wonderful couple. I was honored to be a part of the wedding and am so thankful for Nicole's friendship over the years, congrats Nicole!

Funny Girl

Even through what seems like teething pain, Izzy laughs and smiles. She was chewing on her teething ring and I would pretend to look away and then look back at her and smile, then she'd giggle. Love her so much! She can make me smile no matter how tired I am after a long day at work!!

Twins

Had I not given birth to her, I might not be sure she was mine based on looks. However, she is pretty chatty like me and may look like me when.she sleeps? I have to go through more of my pictures to see if I can find any that look like Izzy.

Me Sleeping as a little girl....kind of like Izzy?
Izzy....I mean Pat, as a baby!

Pat, Carrie, Erin, and Grandpa B. Looks just like Izzy to me!

Our Sweet Baby girl....

Me as a baby, if you look close, you can see some resemblance?

Picture Frame we have in Izzy's room.
