The Last Two Weeks

We came back from Hayward, WI after an amazing week, to have an amazing weekend with friends. Mike and Liz came from Iowa on Friday night and stayed until Sunday. Izzy and Anna hugged each other A LOT and Jack, Bobby, Izzy, and Anna all played together nicely. Liz and I left the dad's on Daddy daycare duty while we went to Kathryn's bachelorette party.
Hugs!

They had matching shirts, so cute!

The ladies at dinner!

Tommie Girls!

Storytime brought to you by Mike!

The dad's station while the kids played.

Lots of jumping!

Sunday night, we got Izzy's haircut and stopped for pizza.

Izzy was begging to go on the escalator because she had never been, she thought it was pretty cool.

Car ride to the cabin!

I was greeted after my first day on the new job with this cutie! A special thanks to Nana for watching the kids on Monday and Tuesday so I could start my new job. Daycare didn't start until last week, so we needed help! A special thanks to Grandma and Grandpa for watching the kids on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday so I could work! We would not have been able to get through the week without your help!

And this handsome little guy too!

Izzy got an awesome new leotard from Katelyn (and her parents!) THANK YOU!

Goofball wearing a shower cap!

Grandma and Grandpa took the kids to see the Okee Dokee Brothers! I was sad to miss it, but so thankful for the pictures and updates!

Meanwhile, I was unpacking boxes in my room. The school was under construction this summer, so everything in my room was in boxes.

Bobby decided to raid the drawer of ziplocks while I made dinner.

We went to Eleanor's house for dinner over the weekend. Izzy and Eleanor are the best of friends!

Izzy's "hug" or choke hold!

Making the transitition to a new job was not an easy one. I have had a lot of anxiety, stress, and moments of thinking I shouldn't have left where I was and where I loved it. However, small things happen to keep me focused on the positive and make me think about big picture. Pat has been SO supportive and has put up with a lot from me and my mood swings lately, but also little signs from my dad. I started back on my Diet Coke habit, bad I know, but I need my sanity with this transition. The first few days back, I'd grab a diet coke and throw it into my bag. When I'd pull them out, they'd say, "Share a coke with Dad!" I took it as a sign from my dad to relax and know it is okay.

We celebrated the first day back at daycare with dinner out and ice cream dessert!

They look SO old!

We stopped to pick out new glasses for me at Costco and the kids decided to try on a few pairs.

Cheese!

The "almost" finished classroom that has taken me FOREVER to get together. I am hoping I'll retire here because I don't know if I can move to another classroom and set up another classroom from scratch again. :)

Pat has been amazing and has let me stay late at my job so I feel prepared and will pick the kids up from daycare. I"ll get some fun updates as I am plugging away. I asked if Izzy had a good day at daycare and this was the response I got!

Last night, we went swimming at Williston Fitness Center and then played at the Treehouse. The kids loved it!

Both kids were a little scared of the glass bottom panel to walk over.

Getting ready to go down the big slide
