Izzy does Chicago....Part 2!

Here are some other pictures that I were on the camera and I had to wait until we got home to add them. We had a great weekend! Izzy made her parents proud and was so well behaved and did amazing in the car! She is all smiles these days, which is so fun! Her personality is shining through.

Izzy does Chicago

Izzy was amazing on the car ride to Chicago, we are hoping for the same results today on our way home. She loved riding in her stroller downtown and looking around at the city smiling and cooing. She would put on a show when we passed people and they looked down at her. We passed a group of women that were coming out of a restaurant downtown, one said, "look at that cute baby, she is so little," so they all looked and Izzy flashed them a huge smile and kind of giggled, which made the women squeal and made a scene which brought more people to look at her in the stroller on the narrow sidewalks in Chicago. Apparently she likes attention and knows how to get it, which scares me thinking of her at sixteen. :)
She also met a potential bachelor, Jack. She looked huge compared to him! It wasn't until someone said she is four times older than him that it seemed more normal for their size differences. We laid them on the bed together and it looked as if they were holding hands. It will be fun to see them together as they get older.
I hope to get a few more pictures before we head out today of Izzy in the city. Here are some of our car ride and meeting Jack.

Big day for Izzy!

We decided very last minute, as in,last night, to go to Chicago this weekend and meet our friend's new baby boy! Izzy's first real road trip! She helped me with the laundry this morning and a run to Target. She loves to look around at Target!

We have been going on a lot of walks and wearing our sun hat in the baby bjorn. She is so interested in looking around that I have to hold her head up and open the bjorn so she can check everything out. She has been an amazing napper, checking things out is a lot of work!

Storytime!

We took our bedtime routine a step further last night and read some books. Isabelle really seemed to enjoy this and was cooing as I turned the pages, of course, she stopped when Daddy brought the camera in. This was one of my favorite parts of our day yesterday!  I cannot wait for tonight! Sorry that the video is sideways, we just thought we'd help you strengthen your neck muscles today. :) The airplane like noise in the background is her sound machine.

Beach bum

We went to Wayzata beach today as a family, it was nice! Izzy got to wear her fancy beach attire. She did not like the water, she screamed as soon as her feet touched it. Then we walked to Ben and Jerry's and enjoyed their yummy smoothies and shakes.
