The Beginning of Summer

I had a quick meeting yesterday morning and then my summer officially began! Of course, day one was a rainy day, but that didn't stop us from having fun. Anna, Evan, and baby Adam came over to play. Izzy and Evan played so well together! I didn't take any pictures, oops! Today, we are off to the pool once Bobby wakes up from his nap. We are meeting the Craigmiles there, yeah for summer!

We had a great weekend as a family too! We went to the pool for the first of many family nights there. We had dinner there and the kids had a blast. Izzy might be sad when we go today since she won't be able to go down the slide without daddy being there. We also went to brunch at Good Day cafe on Sunday morning too.

Last week, we met up with Nana to take her to dinner before she left for her trip. We, of course, had to visit Scoops Ice Cream shop for dessert. This is Izzy and Nana's place, they went every night after dinner when Izzy stayed with Nana while we were in Hawaii last summer.

We later found out that Bobby had a bad ear infection, which explains why he wasn't his smiley self!

Izzy was so excited that we got to play her Squirrel game from the Craigmiles, she loves it! She also likes to cheat if you aren't watching....

Izzy was cold, so she changed out of her shorts and put on this lovely outfit!

 

Chatty came over with her new adorable puppy, Reggie on Saturday. Izzy LOVED Reggie!

Bobby learned how to drink from a straw at brunch on Sunday!

 

Izzy did a nice job of coloring and making shapes for me.

Izzy ate all of her dinner, so she got a special treat for dessert.

 

We went for a family walk last night, Bobby loves to ride in his new truck.

 

Trouble! Bobby now climbs up stairs and he is so fast! We now have a gate at the bottom of the stairs.

 

I had to make Bobby a second shirt for his birthday. We have a photoshoot coming up with a smash cake, so I decided he needed a little outfit for the occasion. 

Week/Weekend Fun

Now that the weather is nice, the days blend together. I love it! I am now starting my last week of school and it feels great. Being outside everyday with the kiddos making memories sounds like the perfect way to spend my summer. I may not get paid the big bucks, but I love my job and I love having my summers off. We have been outside as much as possible the last week. Next week starts our summer routine! The pool even opens this Friday, yeah!! 

Nana got Bobby a birthday present since she won't be here for his birthday, Bobby was pretty pumped about the box!

 Izzy grabbed my purse and came downstairs to tell me, "Mommy, I just need to grab your purse so I can order something for myself!" I have created a monster! :)

 Izzy got to have first ride in Bobby's new truck since it took awhile to get put together, past Bobby's bedtime!

 This sums up Izzy's sense of humor right here in this video....She is understanding jokes and sarcasm now, it is pretty hilarious!

 He screamed at first at the cold water, but once sister showed him it was fun, he smiled and couldn't get enough!

 These two get along so well! We are going to have a fun summer!

 We went to our old neighbor's new house (does that make sense!?) and they have a pool. We brought DQ cake, Pat picked it out and chose the wording.... :)

 Izzy and Greta are 2.5 years apart but are the best of friends, they play so well together! We so wish they still lived across the street!

 The teacher and mom in me was beaming when I saw Izzy try to copy my writing on the driveway. See how she tried to make the o and p? It needs work, but I was very proud, she did it unprompted!

 Well, technically he isn't yet, but I wanted to try to get a picture, Bobby decided since he isn't 1 yet, he wasn't going to sit still.

 I tried to entice him with my mineral water can...

 He decided to walk through it instead.

 Then, he got mad when I made him sit still for the picture. This is how I feel about you turning one too, Bobby. I am sad too!

 The Benz' stopped by for a little visit on their walk yesterday! So fun having them down the street. Isn't Lucy the cutest!? Her and Bobby are exactly 3 months apart!
