Well....life has been busy, so here are some photos of the last month. :)

Izzy's favorite thing to do in life is take care of Bobby. She likes to sit by him during meals and talk to him and feed him while she eats.

Love this! We read to her ALL the time, but now that she has gone to school, she now likes to read to us like a teacher.

Little Bobby

Bobber had his 15 month apt two weeks ago (eek, this new job has me behind on everything!), and we were happy to learn that he is a healthy little guy. He is taking after his sister and is on the smaller side right now. The doctor said she wasn't too concerned since she has watched Izzy grow at the same, slow, but steady pace. She said she knows we just tend to have small kids. Bobby has become quite the toddler in the last few months. He likes to wake up REALLY early! We have been adjusting his bedtime to help him sleep in longer, but sleeping in for him has become 5am! If we don't get him to bed by 6:30, he'll be up at 4:15! It makes for a long day for all parties involved. He has also started climbing EVERYTHING. I picked him up at daycare the other day and he managed to climb up onto the Lego table and was pretty proud of himself. He is always pretty easy going and happy. He gets easily frustrated when he doesn't have words to ask for something, but has started to do sign language the last few weeks and likes to ask for more. He does more for please as well, it is pretty cute.

Bobby would be happy if we put him in highchair all day and continued to give him food. He still LOVES his two naps, but with his early waking time, we are thinking we might need to knock him down to one nap. He is a cuddler and when he sees you, will come running to give you a big hug or just hug your leg and then run off. He loves his sister and the two of them have their own little kind of play going on where they both just look at each other and start laughing hysterically. He has what seems like all of his teeth for his age and got about six new teeth in the last two months. He is a little ham and already knows how to give a cute little look or giggle and get you to think twice about telling him no. He has already won over our daycare providers with his adorable looks, but has also started getting time outs for climbing on the tables. :)

Weight: 21lbs (8th percentile)
Height: 30.5 inches (32nd percentile)
Head: 48.3 cm (81st!)

Izzy's 15 month stats:
W: 19.2 lbs (4th)
H: 30.25 inches (45th)
H: 47.2 cm (85th!)

Look Out Preschool....

Izzy "started" preschool on Monday. She had an orientation/get acquainted session with her teachers and her daddy. They went in for 15 minutes, see the routine to start off their day, and then Izzy got to play with toys in her classroom while Pat talked to the teachers about Izzy. The good news was...she LOVED it so much that she threw a little tantrum about leaving. The bad news was...she threw her tantrum right outside the classroom door...the teachers may have flagged her file. :) She came home after daycare and told me all about the babies she got to play with and how she gets to use the potty and puts her bucket up on the counter. I think she'll do great and she is definitely ready to learn and get more answers to all of her three year old "whys?" It is hard to believe she is going to preschool. I know we have two years of preschool before she starts all day Kindergarten, but I know it will go by so fast. It kills me that I won't be able to take her or pick her up from preschool and see her in that setting due to my new job and commute. :( We are so thankful to Nana and Grandma and Grandpa for being so willing to pick Izzy up from daycare and drop her off at preschool. We are also very lucky that a family from my old school was willing to bring Izzy back to daycare after preschool! So, so lucky! 

We took first day photos on Monday, as I was up and ready for it and Izzy woke up happy and was chatting all about going to preschool. She thinks it is funny that her teachers names are "Mrs. R and Mrs. Roberts." She thinks it is funny because Bobby's name is Robert. She started calling Bobby Mrs. Roberts at dinner last night and would start laughing pretty hard. She definitely has her Papa's humor...let's just hope she isn't voted Class Clown like her Mama was, I don't know if we can handle that. The teacher in me will struggle if I have a the naughty kid in school. :) 

Miss Izzy...you are ready for school. You are ready to make more friends and practice sharing. You are ready to do more art projects and cutting with scissors (your favorite). You are ready to learn more songs, you LOVE to sing and manage to learn songs quicker than I ever could. You are ready to learn more about God and Jesus and prayers. You are ready to explore the world through play. You are ready to listen to other adults and you will likely listen to what your teachers say more than what your parents say. Letting you go to preschool means letting go of the "control" we think we have over you. The control we have to protect you from what we feel you shouldn't hear or see or do. In school, we know your friends may open your eyes to amazing things in life, but we also know they may open your eyes to things, words, and actions that we had hoped to shelter you from. However, we know that in letting go of that control, you will grow and learn. You'll learn right from wrong, you'll learn to make your own choices and distinguish between right and wrong. You'll learn more about friendships and social skills. You'll learn more about your faith. You'll learn the importance of listening to your teachers and friends, the importance of sharing, and so much more. We can't wait to watch you grow and learn this year. You are ready, but we are not. Slow down little lady, you are growing up too fast. We love you to the moon and back baby girl and don't you ever forget that! Good luck Miss Izzy.
