No, no, no....oh great!

Izzy has been doing this odd head bob lately which Pat and I thought was very odd looking. It finally made sense today during dinner. Izzy was spitting out her food AGAIN (thanks Nana!) and I kept telling her No, no, no and without realizing it, I was shaking my head. Well she started mocking me today. We tested it out to see if she was in fact saying No, here is the video. I swear she gets older by the minute. We are trying to teach her Yes, but she just starts bobbing her head all around. Good thing we have been teaching her sign language and this is what she takes away from it, haha!

The Progression of Izzy's Night...

Izzy's evening started last night with a walk to the park and a ride on the swing. Then we came back and to eat dinner. Izzy has perfected her bubble blowing (thank you Nana!) and loves to practice during mealtimes. As you can tell, she is quite happy to be such a mess. She is loving having more finger food and gets upset if you try to feed her only pureed food. I have no idea where she gets her need to be independent from?! :) Then, as you scroll down, you can tell a bath was necessary. Once we got squeaky clean, it was time to play, until Izzy declared it bedtime by putting her hands behind her head like she does in her crib when she sleeps. Off to bed we went!

She is so funny and we really enjoy her predictability; that is, until teeth change things up on us. She was a little fussy for the nanny today and had to have so medicine to help her teeth since she wouldn't nap. It is almost 5pm and she is still napping, I wonder when bedtime will be tonight now?! :)

Swinging Away...

Izzy and I met Auntie Heather at the park. It is hard to believe it is January 9th and we are still able to use Izzy's trike out and go to the park and swing. Izzy thought the swing was pretty fun. Don't mind Heather and I's commentary. :)

Success!

Izzy's first two days with Stacie, the nanny went well! They even went on a trike ride on this gorgeous day! Happy birthday Katelyn, Izzy can't wait to celebrate with you tonight!

Last day of free entertainment...

I go back to work tomorrow and am having a lot of anxiety about it. I am going to miss being with my little girl all day. She provides me with free entertainment all day long. Thankfully it is only a two day week to start. The nanny starts tomorrow, a real reminder of how lucky we were to have my parents watch her for so long now that we have to start writing checks. 
Izzy is getting closer and closer to crawling each day. In fact, she won't go down for naps quite like she used to. Here is a video of her in her crib. She did this for about a half an hour before finally going to sleep. She would get up on all fours, rock back and forth, and then roll all over the place. The quality isn't the greatest since I had to record her video monitor. Expect to see a video of her crawling any day now. Since she is getting so close to crawling, we have been putting her in onesies, sweaters, and leg warmers to help her get more traction, she loves it. I just ordered her some more, as the hardwood floors will not be fun on her knees. Izzy also tried cottage cheese today, she gave a funny face at first, but ended up liking it.

Special visit

Grandpa and Grandma came to visit after there trip to Seattle. Izzy was happy to see them when she woke up this morning. She showed off her precrawling moves right away. We enjoyed a nice lunch together before they had to head back home. Thanks for the cute bowls from your trip MIL and FIL. :)

Happy New Year!! We were so blessed last year with Miss Isabelle and cannot wait to watch her grow this year. Izzy's new years resolutions are to learn to crawl and try new foods. She is working hard on her resolutions, today she was crawling backwards and ate tofu for the first time.
