Our "little", BIG girl!

Last night marked Izzy's first night in her toddler bed! It went really well surprisingly. Only one fall/thud that was fixed by me joining her in bed for a few minutes. This morning she woke up a few times and put herself back to sleep until she heard me in the hallway and then jumped out of bed and was heading to greet me at the door. We went to the grocery store today and to Toddler yoga for something fun to help tucker her out for nap. Izzy picked out a new swimming suit and some glasses. She tried on some hats too. Keeping her busy worked, she napped for three hours in her bed that we added a side rail to after last night's fall. When she woke up she climbed down and was heading for the door again. I am trying to teach her to just call our names when she wakes up and not try to make a run for it in case we didn't hear her wake up. We did put a baby gate on the outside of her door in case she does get the door open.

We were hopeful tonight would go just as smooth. We read stories in her bed and she did well saying goodnight as I walked out and fell right asleep for about twenty minutes. I didn't hear anything, but just so happened to be curious as to how she was sleeping and looked at the video monitor to find her sneaking off the end of her bed and heading for the door. She didn't make a sound when she did this, which was a little worrisome because if this were the middle of the night we wouldn't hear her and wake up. Thankfully she went for the door, couldn't get the handle open and then started yelling for me. I put her back to bed, laid down with her for a little bit, and then left when she was almost asleep. We are hoping that is as adventurous as she'll be tonight.

The first outfit I bought baby boy right after our ultrasound finally came today! Can't wait to see what a stud he will look like in this outfit! The Bowtie onesie is separate too. Izzy is such a peanut but it is crazy to see how little the newborn outfit is and thinking back to how long Izzy wore the newborn size for. She is only three times her birth weight at just shy of two, but I can't remember her being that small anymore.

Happy Heart's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day or as Izzy can say it, "Happy Heart Day!" Also, a very special birthday to Auntie Heather! We have been busy preparing for Valentine's Day the last few days. Izzy brought some applesauce valentine's to daycare and some Starbuck's gift cards to the two daycare ladies. She also helped me make a card for Daddy using candy bars. It was a hard task between Izzy wanting to pull off all of the candy bars and Stella trying to sniff them all and eat them, but we managed to get it done with no causalities. Happy Valentine's Day...we WUV you all!
A little video from Izzer!
Izzy's daycare Valentine's since most are toddlers or babies.

Starbuck's Valentine's for Deb and Tori.

The whole package!

Our card for Daddy!

A little hand santizer for our daycare ladies too!

Izzy made us a Valentine at daycare yesterday!

This is what we woke up to this Valentine's morning, I guess it is pretty, that is about all that I can say about snow. :)

Nothing says love and a bedtime story with daddy then watching a YouTube video about cutting cabinets. :) She is definitely her father's child.

24 Weeks + Photo Bombers :)

Yesterday we made it to the 24 week mark. It is crazy to think that we only have 4 more months to go. Summer will hopefully be here before we know it. Both Izzy and Stella decided to be photo bombers in this week's pictures. As soon as Izzy sees the closet doors close and the chalkboard go up, she stands again the closets and says "Cheese!" She is a very observant child. I seem to have caught a nice sinus infection, but that hasn't stopped me from craving ice cream, sweets, and dark hot chocolate. It is a good thing that this year for Lent I decided to take a different approach and not give anything up since I feel I have given up a lot of my favorites due to being pregnant (diet coke, beer, soft cheeses, lunch meat, etc.), but rather take a pay it forward/gratitude approach and do something each day for someone else. It started today with bringing hot chocolate to our daycare ladies. It might not always be buying something, but it might be a note telling someone how much they mean to me, etc. I am hoping I can keep up! I am off topic, baby boy is doing well. He has been kicking more and more each day. He seems to be more active at night, let's hope he gets his days and nights figured out once he comes out to play in June. He also likes to kick when he hears Izzy.

I don't think Izzy has any idea what is coming her way or how much her life is going to change in just four short months, but we are doing our best to spoil her and enjoy one on one time with her before her brother makes his entarance into this world. Izzy is a talking machine. We sometimes forget how much she understands now and how much she talks until she will repeat EVERYTHING that you say back to her with a little grin and shakes her head yes in agreement as she says it. Our little baby is going to be a big girl come tomorrow night when we take down her crib and have her sleep in her toddler bed for the first time. We need to start to prepare for baby boy and give her enough time to adjust as well, so since I have off on Friday and Monday, we figured it would be the perfect time to make the transition in case it doesn't go as smoothly as we are praying. :) We'll update you this weekend!

Snowy Weather

I am hoping somehow that I will get a snow day from all of this crazy winter weather and can stay home with Izzy tomorrow, but until then, we will play outside and enjoy the snow! I do wish I lived in a warmer place, but when it snows like it is today, is still warm enough to be outside, and you don't have to go anywhere, I can handle it! Izzy and Stella really wanted the cookies on our snowman. We were glad we found a use for some of our Girl Scout cookies since we may have bought too many. ;)

23+ weeks

Well it has been a busy week, but here are the bump photos. I got my haircut, a little shorter than I wanted, but it is slowly growing on me. It looks terrible in these pictures! In Izzy news, she is becoming a big girl more and more everyday! She is talking like crazy and getting ready to make the transition to a toddler bed next weekend! Our baby is all grown up!

The Weekend and More

Grandma and Grandpa came this weekend to visit. Izzy had a lot of fun with them. She showed them just how busy she really is! We are hoping Izzy didn't scare you away from coming back and staying with her for a week when we go to Hawaii. We have already begun researching things you can take her to do to help keep you all sane. :) Baby bump update will come later!

She is her Daddy's girl, playing with a tape measure.

Izzy found my hats in her closet and wanted to put them on.

Being silly!

Being goofy before Daddy got home from his trip.

Izzy and Daddy came to visit my classroom on Friday since I had to stay late. Izzy loved all the toys.

She really loved the mini rocking chair!

Morning Donuts from Nana.

It looks like Grandpa is hiding, but he is just trying to clean up after Busy Izzy!

Just hanging with Grandpa!

Someone had a fun weekend and was ready for her nap on Sunday!

We went to our neighbor's house for the Super Bowl! Izzy had a blast with Greta!

The Princess, her socks, and Grandma!
