Terrific Thursday

We have had a busy few days! Izzy has been taking 2.5-3 hour naps because she has been so tired from all of the fun we have been having. On Thursday, we met my coworkers at the Splash Pad. We had a picnic at the park and let the kids play. They all had a great time. Izzy is starting to figure out how to play with kids, but mostly just follows them around and mimics what they do. She loves being independent at the park and testing everything out. After nap, we went to the West End for their kid celebration. They had a petting zoo, giant jumpers, kid yoga, and more. Izzy loved feeding the goats and jumping of course!

Izzy decided to bring the rest of her lunch to the playhouse to eat. Silly girl!

Petting the goats with my coworker's girls.

Walking to feed the goats with daddy.

New friends.

She grew up overnight!

Petting the rabbits.

We stopped in the toy store for Izzy to play a little. She of course wanted to jump!

Bobby is getting better at taking a bottle, thank goodness. I hope I am not jinxing it. I bought a few more bottles for our trip and will transition him to our other bottles when we get back before daycare starts.

Jumpy!

Goofball brushing her teeth

"No cameras, please!"

Gearing up for the big trip!

One Month Old!!

I cannot believe our little man is already one month old! Time is flying too fast and it makes me more depressed knowing I didn't have any maternity leave, so I only have six weeks left with him at home. I keep making sure to soak up every moment just in case we decide to stop at two kids. I can't even recall Izzy being this size and/or this whole newborn stage. I am sure most of it is due in fact to the lack of sleep I had and my mind purposely blocking it out so that I would have more children. :) Mr. Bobby is as sweet as can be. He is very calm, unless you are holding him off when he wants to eat, then he will let you know to feed him and feed him now. He doesn't want to be forgotten. He loves to sleep the day away, but makes sure to wake up at night for food. During the day, he often times needs to be woken to eat. He is a trooper, he is dragged around to playdates or activities for Izzy each day and usually doesn't make a peep the whole time we are out. We are enjoying that this summer, because next summer, I am sure he'll be running around like crazy keep us busy. He usually eats every 3-3.5 hours during the day, 3-4 at night. Last night, he slept his longest stretch, but he also took 6.5 oz from a bottle!! We are struggling to get him to take a bottle and are working hard on it for our trip to Hawaii. We can't have him screaming during the ceremony, so he needs to take a bottle. He will give in and drink a little, then start screaming. We got a new kind of bottle to try out tonight and are hoping that will help. While I am flattered that he prefers his momma, it makes me nervous with our trip coming up and knowing I will have to go back to work in six weeks. I am sure he'll turn a corner and eventually give in and take a bottle without fussing.

Bobby's Loves: His nuk, sleeping, EATING, eating, and eating more, snuggling, being swaddled and swayed to sleep, looking around and checking things out, his mom, dad, and sister.

Bobby's Dislikes: Being naked, being cold, cold wipes on his bottom, not being fed immediately when he is hungry, when his nuk falls out of his mouth, not being able to get his hands into his mouth, BOTTLES!!
I just started to smile, but mom can never catch it!

Checking out sister.

I have the silliest faces! Mom and Dad are in trouble, my sister gives this same look when she is being naughty!

I am looking around more and more each day!

Silly face

I sleep ALL the time! Mom has to wake me to eat most of the time or I might just sleep all day long. However, at night, I still like to wake every 3-4 hours to eat.

"Wait, there is another elephant over here!"
Love these two!

I can't wait to watch these two start to interact. Izzy wasn't okay with Bobby getting all the pictures by himself, so she jumped in and knew just what to do.

I am very mellow, unless I am hungry and you aren't feeding me right away, then I let you know I am pissed.

I love my nuk, but keep looking for my hands. Mom thinks I might prefer my hands once I have control of them.

He is such an old little man.

This and That

We had a fun time at library storytime on Tuesday and did a quick run to Target before nap. After naps, it was water fun on the deck. Izzy went to daycare yestersay so I could run a few errands with Bobby and get some new clothes for Hawaii! Last night, we went to the Harris' house for dinner. I am super bummed i didnt take any pictures there! Izzy had a blast and Bobby loved the snuggles. It was so fun to catch up, but it always makes me feel old! Elizabeth will be 21 on Friday! Time flies!

Today, we met Anna and Evan at the West End for their kid concert and ran into Izzy's daycare friend, Grayson.
Using her stool to get things she wants on the counter. This is her stool to get on the potty, but as I was cleaning, she decided to go get it so she could get the water bottle.

Playing with the gears after library storytime. I swear she will be an engineer some day.

The never ending cart at Target. Bobby felt so far away and I felt like Austin Powers trying to turn around in the middle of an aisle..forward, reverse, forward, reverse

Bobby is between sizes, but I love trying on new outfits. Here he is sporting his Adidas outfit that George picked out. Guess what, the James' got him the same one in a bigger size so he can look cute in it even longer, yeah!!

Drinking the water from her new fountain from our neighbor.

Cheeseball

Apparently her splash table doubles as a pool?

Someone is finding his fingers like his sister

Living the rough life!

Carrying around her monkey and stickers that the Harris' gave her.

Izzy and Grayson!

Izzy wanted Bobby in her bed before nap and thought it was hilarious!

Love!!

Beach Day

We went to the beach yesterday since it was so hot out. It was Bobby's first time at the beach, he wasn't a fan of the cool water on his toes and started crying so we stayed in the shade while Izzy and Daddy swam.

All geared up in his rolled up swim trunks!

Checking out his surroundings.

Little butt has no fear of the water.

Digging in the sand

Deep conversation :)

Busy Saturday

Busy Saturday! Izzy had swimming lessons and loved that she had her own cheering section. Nana came with to learn the ropes for swimming lessons for when we are in Hawaii and Bobby and I decided to check it out too since we had never been. Izzy kept looking up and was waving at us. She has become quite the fish. Then, we stopped at my aunt and uncle's house so they could meet Bobby and so we could see my cousin and her adorable children. We came home and Chase stopped by since he was in town, he is a natural with babies. After naps, the Craigmiles came over for dinner. Pat used the smoker for the first time to smoke some ribs. Once bedtime for the kids hit, Jackie came back over to watch our new favorite show, Revenge, and Pat went over to hang out with Reid and watch a movie. It was so much fun!

Bobby started smiling today, but he is quick so I haven't caught it on camera yet.

It is tiring watching Sister's swimming lessons.

Cousin Leo and MJ loving Bobby up!

MJ could have held him all day! She was so good with him. It is too bad they live in New York.

Chase stopped by to meet Bobby!

The Craigmiles came over for snuggles and a BBQ! Sally is ready for another baby Jackie. :)
